Just like my hero, Bob Ross (who has the perfect quote for everything), I know first-hand the benefits of creating art, and I want to share those with you! The process of creating art can be fun and exciting, and it can also be calming and relaxing. Either way, it provides us with an escape from reality.

As the artist, your canvas is yours alone. It is a blank slate waiting to be filled, and you control what goes on it. Whether it's a light-hearted painting that we create in a Party atmosphere, or an abstract reflection of your current mood as felt during a Relaxing Art Cleanse, your artwork is a unique masterpiece.
Create Your Escape was founded in 2022 as a way to connect people through art. My goal is to use the universal language of art to spread joy and do my part to help make the world a better place.
About Me:
I live in Harpers Ferry, WV, with my 12-year-old son and husband. People describe me as creative, energetic, bubbly, and passionate. My core values are compassion, creativity, harmony, wonder, and making a difference.

When I’m not busy talking to trees, I love spending time with my family, doing arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, and otherwise observing/experiencing nature.
I graduated from WVU with a BA in International Studies and went on to receive a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Management from APUS, buuuut, none of this is really where my passion lies. What makes my heart happy is making art and sharing that experience with others.

A note about children:
I am especially passionate about sharing art with children. There are countless benefits of facilitating art projects with children:

Children are our future, and I want to do my part to provide these benefits to children because it is the sum of these actions that will change the world, one canvas at a time.
Using the skills and techniques gained via my Certified Professional Coach (CPC) credential, combined with my passion for wonder and helping others, I am now offering private, arts-based children's life coaching.
